Jumpsuit single is out!

The song mocks the conservative attitudes of the power elite and reminds us of the inequality that prevails in our society. The John Lydonesque whiny singing style emphasises this message. The rhythmic energy pushing forward at the beginning folds for a moment into a minimalist electronic club vibe, before finishing as a Foo Fighters inspired rock anthem. The multilayered artwork Journey, Not Destination is by Elina Ruohonen.

Greenland Shark, the third single from the new album is released. The Greenland Shark song is a kind of energetic anthem to Nature. The lyrics picture the life of the Greenland shark. Still, it’s a commentary on our inability to live in harmony with the natural world around us. The song is influenced by Talking Heads, and the spoken passages are reminiscent of Kate Bush’s 50 Words for Snow.

The new Snapshot Gallery EP has been released! The album is produced by New York-based musician-producer Tomás Doncker and recorded at E-Studio in Sipoo, Finland.

All the songs on Snapshot Gallery emerged from free improvisation. The songs have a wide range of influences, including pop, jazz, electro, country, and hip hop. The lyrics powerfully evoke the importance of Nature, and reflect on the challenges that we all face. ECC’s music is cinematic, and that’s why it was natural to incorporate visual elements to enhance the mood of the songs. Collaboration with visual artists began when Mira Caselius made three single covers for ECC. Caselius is also created the cover art for this EP.

Our world is divided in many ways. We have come to a crossroads. Can we work together and solve the problems that threaten our way of life, or do we carry on selfishly and short-sightedly as before? Do we co-operate, or do we stubbornly compete? ECC supports positive thinking that welcomes diversity and respects the living world around us. We will let Elliot’s crazy compass spin wildly and freely as we navigate toward a new horizon.
